Who I Am Professionally

Consultant, Psychologist, & Behavior Analyst

I’m a clinical provider who values compassionate and personalized services. My specialty is “neurodevelopmental disorders”, which Autism Spectrum Disorder falls under. I also have training in common co-occurring conditions, like ADHD and Intellectual Developmental Disorder (Intellectual Disability). The whole person is considered when making recommendations.

My goal is to give you insight, support, and guidance.

As a psychologist with a background in diagnostic evaluations, school psychology, and developmental intervention, I have a deep understanding of assessment, intervention, school services, and child development. My years of experience include working within organizations that offer diagnostic and therapeutic services to neurodivergent children. I have also coached, trained, and led clinicians independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams. My diagnostic expertise is extensive. The last 9 years, I’ve provided comprehensive evaluations, with a strong focus on autism and co-occurring conditions.

Since 2014, I’ve performed over 1,000 evaluations.

A whole-child, strengths-based approach is important. Every service should have a balanced approach between strengths and needs. Every child deserves to be seen a whole person rather than a set of symptoms or “deficits”. An autistic person does not need to be “fixed”. I stay up-to-date on research, respect the range of voices in the autistic community, and value the expertise of a child’s family. While I am a BCBA, I do not practice as one nor push ABA on anyone. I recognize the historical issues with ABA and that not all providers are created equal. I take an unbiased approach when making recommendations and supporting families in their decisions.

Who I Am Personally

I am a neurodivergent, white, cisgender woman who strives to practice cultural humility in my personal and professional life. I also value being vulnerable, doing things scared, empathy, and honest conversations.

Recently, I moved to Wisconsin after calling Colorado home for 10 years. I love mountains dearly but am enjoying the land of cheese. I grew up in a suburb of Dallas, so you will hear me unabashedly use the word “y’all”. It’s also a perfectly gender-neutral word.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me spending time with my partner and two dogs. I also enjoy cycling (tours like RAGBRAI), trying new pizza restaurants, writing, music, and catching up with friends. Training in olympic weightlifting four times a week is important to my mental and physical health. I’ve had chronic illnesses since I was a teenager, so I also recognize the value of rest.
